Share

As you can see a rare UAC near Tamil Nadu in July end, the last time this happened was in July 2007. So almost after 13 years, we might see UAC rains in July for Chennai. The most interesting part even though UAC will be there we get only rains from land side and this time the UAC is perfectly located such that clouds are moving from sea side in July into Chennai city that too in SWM. Earlier Delta belt got smashed with clouds moving from sea side like north east monsoon. So an exciting day for Chennai with people getting awake to monsoon like day with morning rains.

Thanks to UAC, it always gives plenty of rains to Interior TN, so another active day for Tamil Nadu from  thunderstorms and also monsoon rains in ghat areas. Its rare event, lets enjoy it. And Meena is going to break a historic 200 event rainfall for July. We might never see a month like this again for centuries to come.

Monsoon winds gets activated with UAC pulling winds – Heavy rains

With UAC near Tamil Nadu this pulls the monsoon winds other side and Kerala and ghats in Valparai, Nilgiris, Theni, Kanyakumari and Nellai ghats will all get heavy rains. Particularly Idukki, Valparai, Wayanad, Thrissur, Eranakulam will all have chance of very heavy rains to extreme rains.
